Say the Words!

In a conversation with my son this afternoon, something reminded of the 'Say the Words' story. It has existed in our family for about fourteen years, and began quite innocently by my niece and her husband. For some reason , a repeated scenario generated the phrase that has 'assumed a life of its own.'

It went something like this:
My niece asked her husband to get something from the closet.
He came back and said that it wasn't there!
"On the top shelf, kind of from the middle/maybe slightly toward the right side."
Back up the stairs, and back down the stairs. Not there.
Together they went back up the stairs, and she reached in and grabbed the requested item.
He says, " OK!  You were right! I was wrong."
She laughs and says, "Honey, it happens to everyone at one time or another! No big deal!"
He says confidently, "It'll never happen again!"

And thus was born...You were right...I was wrong...It'll never happen again!
And later on , when the situation ended in your favor, all you had to do was smile and
give the signal, "Say the words!"
Occasionally, the guilty party would only say the 'You were right.'
And they would have to be prodded a little with...'and'
"I was wrong." And if the third part didn't seem to be forthcoming, a gentle "Keep going" usually brought the finality of...."It'll never happen again!
Many times in the classroom, it became a way to break the tension of a situation. There was just something comical about having to 'say the words.' We all knew that when you declared the part about it never happening again, it certainly might be a long shot. Since the kids knew the story behind the words, I think it brought along a sense of belonging, and a way to admit guilt out loud. Lord knows, there are many people who have trouble admitting that they are wrong about anything!! It also gave us a chance to move on.
Sometimes I could use it to my favor. I remember an occasion when a student was looking feverishly for their homework paper in their desk and gave up. I'd whisper, "Go look one more time, and if you find it, you won't even have to say 'the words.'
A reason to beat the system!
Success.
Some occasions warranted mouthing the words, and acknowledging with eye contact.
Life can be funny. Life can be serious. Sometimes you get a choice.

The Illusive Hurly Burly Banditto!

It was nineteen years ago when the 'hurly burly persona' came into existence.
My son and I [and the dog] had recently moved into our ... 'new [to us] little house with a creek running alongside it. {On my wish list has been a house by the water. I should have been more specific!!] It 's on a short dead end street which ends at the creek and our house is the only one on the street. Some of my most favorite memories are the winter hockey games that happened [especially on snow days]when the call went out...Hockey Game! Since they could play uninterrupted in the middle of the street, 10-12 snow- suited boys would arrive and drag the two goalie cages out of the garage. And then 'let the games begin' rang out. Snow flew through the air, fun and laughter was obvious, and hot chocolate with marshmallows was plentiful.

Anyway, we were getting used to new routines in terms of prep times and travel times to begin our respective school days. So, one morning , after I had let the dog out and brewed my coffee, I made tuna fish sandwiches for our lunches. I wrapped them up in sandwich bags and stored them in the refrigerator for the next hour until we left for school. Up the stairs with my coffee, and a 'rise and shine' wake up call was followed by showers and getting dressed.
Back down the stairs for breakfast and Sports Center [ my son is a now a sports talk radio co -host]. [The best in the business, I proudly declare!!] As I went to get the tuna sandwiches, I opened the refrigerator...and guess what? They were gone! So I say to the only other person in the house,
"Where are the tuna sandwiches?"
"What did you say?"
"Where are the tuna sandwiches that I made for our lunches today?"
"I don't know?"
"Well, I put them in the refrigerator at 6AM, and "It's just you and me, kid!!!"
"I don't know...maybe the hurly-burly tuna snatcher has sneaked in and grabbed them and now it's his lunch!"
"The hurly burly tuna snatcher? Really ?"
We both went into the kitchen, opened the door, and he says,
" Oh, must be the suction of opening the refrigerator door pulled them out, and dropped them on the floor. So I guess that I wasn't really paying close attention, and I just put back what fell out. I placed it back on the door."
I looked on the door and 'Voila!!' I knew that I hadn't put them on the door.
Well that hurly burly character was blamed for many lost things thereafter.
I would tell my elementary students stories from home; they always loved it!
The hurly burly homework snatcher, the hurly burly cookie thief, the hurly burly backpack rifler, etc., etc., etc.
Has the hurly burly character visited your house/ school/ place of employment?
Very crafty that illusive hurly burly perpetrator!!!

Looking back on this...we laugh!

Another experience from my past. If you have read the 2 posts about horseback riding[Will the Real Horse's Ass Please Stand Up? and its sequel] and also the Yoga post[My...What Big Eyes You Have!!], there is a common character in these random acts of 'When You Look Back on This...You're Going to Laugh!'

What was the common thread...the link?
It would be my high school friend and best bud..Janet. So here's another adventure ..

I retired from teaching in June 2004, and in July I embarked upon the only cruise vacation that I have had the opportunity to take. I accompanied Janet along with her family [brother, sister-in-law and nephew , sister, mother, and aunt.] We were a party of 8 headed for Alaska: Break out the Pina Coladas and Frozen Daiquiris. Wahoo!
Different port excursions were offered and some were taken by our little group. I declined on the [sea]plane trip to see the bears...you had to give your weight and they added it up to be certain that the plane would stay airborne. I don't think so!!! I have a bit of a Ziggy complex.

If you purchased a side trip from the cruise line, it was a guaranteed thing. One side trip that was offered was a catamaran boat trip to a Glacier. The brochure's description was amazing, and so 5 of us signed up, climbed aboard, and journeyed onto the beautiful ocean waters of Alaska. The boat ride was very peaceful: azure blue skies, mountains and waterfalls, wildflowers, sunshine, and refreshing pure clean air.

Everyone was anticipating the beginning of the floating ice chunks, and any/all animals that were native to the area. Wearing our yellow slickers, we were allowed to travel on an enclosed area out to the deck with nothing separating us from the quiet awe and wonder .

When the first ice cube went by, the word went up like the 'Christopher Columbus' sighting of land' followed by a wild rush to snap priceless photos. As we neared the glacier, people were lamenting taking the early pictures because the ice chunks got very massive and impressive!

The catamaran coasted into a bay with tall ice formations looming in the distance. Tremendous! The motor was silenced and we witnessed the calving of the glacier and the thunderous sounds and echos. After 20 minutes, we were told there was another glacier in a close enough proximity to view it, and we went to see it.

Same routine: coasted into the bay, motor off, and we watched the thunderous fall of mounds if ice. It was time to return to the ship [especially happy]so that we would join the cruisers for , "A Chocolate Happy Hour." Wahoo x 2!
The captain started the engine...at this point I should revise it to, the captain attempted to begin the retreat from the bay and back to to the Norwegian Free Spirit Cruise ship.. It didn't take long to surmise that something was awry. We looked over the railing at the back of the ship and saw a crew member trying to break up the ice with a long wooden pole-that would be the floating ice that had accumulated and immobilized the motor. That was not a comforting sight, but worse was when we looked behind us at the opening that we needed to motor to in an effort to rejoin those who were at chocolate happy hour and other planned events. But guess what???
All of the ice that had fallen off of the glacier was NOW floating in the water such that you really couldn't see the water: all we saw was ice. And no way out for the boat that looked small, but now looked huge!
The workers instantly began to focus everyone's attention away from the boat.
"Look!! Way up on the top of that mountain is a mountain goat! Can you see it?"
Janet looked to the right and I looked to the left, and when our eyes met- we knew what we were seeing...A great big distraction!!! { Two teachers well versed in keeping things calm!!}
We began whispering things like...
What do you think?
Do you suppose this happens very often?
How much gas do you think is left before we run out of gas?
It took 45 minutes to an hour to creep in quite a random path as we edged to the exit whilst bobbing amidst the biggest ice cubes on the planet!! As we inched closer and closer...guess what we saw? Certainly a surprising yet most welcome sight...it was the cruise ship that had sailed in our direction to meet us. And all of the people were out on all of the different deck levels and everyone was cheering and clapping and waving. And we returned the merriment!
Never was I so happy to walk the plank[a wide one]which connected the catamaran to the big ship! And we felt like we'd been rescued! Wahoo x 3!!

The good news, aside from the obvious one of not floating around in icy cold water for a long time, was that since it was an excursion booked on board the ship, they couldn't leave us and move on to the next port. They HAD to wait for us! Hallelujah!
The bad news...we missed 'The Chocolate Happy Hour." Damn!!
Another crystal clear example of 'Perspective is Everything.'

Unforgettable

This morning I heard on the radio ,"God Bless America" with Kate Smith belting it out as only she can do. And it always reminds me of a former student of mine named Kate who had never heard the famous Kate sing this song. So I brought in a CD and played it for my homeroom adding my own little embellishment as Kate Smith sang that patriotic song. Well, the 10 year old Kate beamed from ear to ear and her beautiful dark brown eyes laughed along with the great big smile that spread across her face. My Kate is a wonderful girl and the thought of her always brings back this very vivid memory,
The music teacher in my school is a wizard who gets kids excited about music. Every year, she builds into her budget the hiring of a 'musical performance' which the entire school attends in an assembly. Sometimes it is a sing-a-long, or audience participation kind of show. Other shows were the showcasing of excellent music. In any case, Diane [music teacher extraordinaire], would prepare the students for the impending gala by getting the children familiar with the songs of the artist. Posters would go up announcing the upcoming visit, and the kids would be readied for the assembly. They'd be singing the artist's songs and having a grand old time.
So, on the Friday morning of the much anticipated arrival of this well known [ to them ]band, I was sitting at my desk as kids came in and hung up their coats, put their lunch boxes away, and unpacked to begin the regular school day. All of a sudden, with enthusiasm that I wish I could describe, my buddy Kate comes flying thru the classroom door and shouts excitedly,
"Hey everybody! The 'Sons of Pitches 'are here!!
My initial inward 'ooph' was immediately followed by her words, "I just saw them!!"
Yep! You read it right. That was the name of the band! And I knew that...and the kids responded with excitement for today was the day that those 'Sons of Pitches' were gonna sing those songs that they had been learning. Wahoo!
The hiring of these very talented 4 young men singing harmony in perfect pitches...with an audience of 300 happy to be there...priceless!
Kate's explosive entrance into the classroom, "Hey everybody! Those Sons of Pitches are here!!
Unforgettable.

What did you say?

Life with Flo...always an adventure! hallucinations, and antibiotics, and x-rays...oh my!!
Life has calmed down again and life is back to making sense ....somewhat.
Many years ago when my mom would visit for a week or so , and during the summer when I would visit her, she followed the soap [opera]' All My Children'. I would watch it with her and she explained who was who and what was going on. Then she returned to her home, and we were back to phone conversations to keep in touch. And in soap opera conversation, I would ask her ' so, what's the buzz?' Is Natalie still in the well, or did someone find her? Has her evil twin, 'Janet from another Planet' slipped up and gotten arrested? Pretty ridiculous...but that was Flo's entertainment and I wasn't going to pass judgement on her tv viewing habits. That would be raining on her parade.
Now that I am retired and she lives with me [post stroke], I have been trying to get her back into the familiarity of All My Children. [Some of the same people are still on it 30 years later!!] I figure it would be good for her daily routine, keep her brain functioning...
Okay, so maybe a soap opera is a stretch as far as the brain is concerned!!
Anyway, she is amazed at how I can predict story lines. She thinks I should write for them.
Here's the point of all this:
Last night, enroute to the bedtime routine, as we rolled past the TV, a commercial 'teaser' showed two of the ' All My Children ' characters.
We paused in front of it, and I said: "I predict...Since this couple has finally gotten back together again [they were previously married], he is going to say to her, "I want to have another baby."
She is a wee bit hard of hearing...and she said, "What did you say?"
I repeated, "He's going to say, 'I want to have another baby.' "
"You do?"
"Not me, Mom! The couple on the TV!!"
"Oh, Gee!!I couldn't believe that you wanted to have another baby!!"
Here is where you get to imagine the wild and hilarious laughter that ensued from the both of us!! Lions and tigers and bears...oh my!!

Quite the unexpected turn of events.

In Sept 10's post, I wrote about a trip to the doctor with Flo. We left after an hour [without seeing the doctor] because Flo had to go to the bathroom, and wanted to go home.
In the mail today was a card from the doctor with a sailboat on the front, and on the inside it said: "Sorry for the delay in my office this week. Hope that I can make it up to you! Dr. XYZ.
And enclosed was his business card, and 2 other cards that said:
His name and specialty
Good for one free visit.
Thank you for your confidence.

And there you have it. I am pleasantly surprised. And shocked!!

The Last Lecture

Today I read the book, "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch with Jeffrey Zaslow. It has 5 parts: 'The Last Lecture', 'Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams, 'Enabling the Dreams of Others', 'Adventures and Lessons Learned, and 'It's About How to Live Your Life.'
Randy Pausch recently died of pancreatic cancer at 47 leaving a wife and three kids. He was a college professor who provided insights about living life as a part of his computer classes.
The Last Lecture was recorded and can be accessed at You-Tube and is about 75 minutes. An upbeat presentation, I recommend it.
The book, written when he was alive, is not a sad commentary. It is a worthwhile compilation of some pretty good ideas.
Kinda makes you think.

My...what big eyes you have!!

Bringing back a memory can be many things, depending upon the nature of the memory. I highly recommend revisiting the good ones and the funny ones. So when I saw a cartoon in the newspaper about a yoga class, I cut it out and taped it on the inside of a card. I included a little tin of mints that had a woman cross-legged, eyes closed, and her hands were in an 'ohm' mind- calming session. The tin said, "Yoga Girl." I put it in the mail.
Closing my eyes, I could see the future...I could envision the yoga card being opened by my high school/college/taught together in the same school building friend...that would be Janet[ alias:'Hey, wanna go horse back riding?].
And I could see the past.
We were trying to recover from the after effects of a very momentous day. We were driving to the school where I taught kindergarten, and Janet taught 4th grade. Off in the distance we could see smoke rising into the sky, and jokingly we laughed about, 'Wouldn't it be something if the school was on fire!' As we got closer, traffic was being detoured off the main street, because...the flippin' school was on fire!! We stared at each other wide eyed! Oh my God!! An electrical fire had started in the middle of the night[whew!], and hence... the school was history. All of the displaced classrooms were bused to many other schools in the district where any possible space or closet[!] was found for each classroom to finish the year. Needless to say, we were 'transplants' and not exactly welcomed with open arms. And, Janet and I were in different buildings. It was a long, hot, stressful end of a school year.
Janet says, "Hey! What do you think about signing up for the yoga class that is being offered by the town's adult ed? It would be a good stress reducer. It's only once a week. Let's do it."
" OK. Sure! What the heck? "
Alrighty then.
When we arrived at the high school, we were directed to the gymnasium for the yoga class. There were quite a few people there, and the yogi called out [in a soft voice!] to find a spot on the gym floor and sit comfortably. After about 5 minutes, the class began. I remember learning some stretching exercises and yoga positions. The second half of the session was a mental exercise to clear your mind and get in touch with your inner spirit. The gym was filled with people resting quietly and following the directions of our yogi. He was excellent. With calm and simple conversation, we were directed to 'let go' of all of the little annoyances of the day. For the moment, we were to pay no attention to money and paying bills, forget making appointments, abandon the scheduling of everyone's day...just put it all aside for the moment. No worrying about health issues...just listen to the sound of your heart beating, and feel the rythmic rise and fall of your chest as your breathing brings oxygen to all the parts of your body.
All of a sudden, out of the 'hear a pin drop' silence came a loud and rhythmic "ZZZZ ZZZZZ ZZZZZ".
Snoring. Altered states snoring. Down for the count snoring!
I rolled my head to the right, and Janet rolled her head to the left. Our wide eyes locked in, and the laughter came out!! We immediately stopped looking at each other. We tried so hard to get the muffled merriment under control. My face hurt. The rise and fall of my chest had more than rhythmic breathing going on. And the more I tried to stop laughing, the more evident it became that it was clearly out of my control.
And then the soft, but stern voice said, " We need to have more seriousness of mind at this time."
Absolutely! No problem! ZZ ZZZ ZZZZ ZZZ
This was stress reduction at its best!! Unplanned. Unscripted. Heavenly. Never to be forgotten. And the mere thought of it still brings a smile to my face.
So, how would we rate the overall calming effect of our yoga class on a scale of 1-10:
...ohm. ..a zen!

What pigs would like you to know....about their lipstick!

Enough already!!

Not only are pigs tired of people taking their name in vain, it's becoming downright boaring!

Sweat like a pig? Pigs don't sweat.

Place look like a pig sty[dirty]? Pigs are very clean.

Fat as a pig? Pigs are generally lean; become fat when purposefully overfed by farmers.

Duh! Big dumb animal? Pigs are the smartest domestic animals.

Hopelessly useless? Pigs are considered to be more trainable than dogs and cats.

When pigs fly? They're good problem solvers, and they're working on it!!!

So....shout it from the rooftops- don't get hog-tied...I mean tongue tied! Pigs are really 'sty'mied as to how this got so far out of control.

But they're mad as hell and they aren't going to take it anymore!!!

Pick on something else.

How 'bout...Ya know...

You can tell hyenas a very sad story, but they will still laugh right in your face!!

It seemed like a good idea.

My neighbor Betty is having some health issues, among them a major hearing problem. She is 88 , lives alone, and doesn't drive. I offered to help her get the doctor's attention, and began by chatting with the office staff and politely explaining how Betty's hearing loss was getting worse and it was very frustrating to her. Her appointment was moved up from November to the end of August. It amazes me how elderly people are treated differently when they have someone advocating on their behalf vs. trying to solve life's problems by themselves.
We went to the first visit and I went in with her to be 'another set of ears'. They told her that she needed a new hearing test.
"Why? What for?"
"To determine your hearing loss."
"I can tell you that I have a hearing loss!!. We don't need a test for that!!"
[It was kind of funny to listen to each side debating their point.]
Well, nothing was going to happen without a new test. We made another appointment, and since it had to be an afternoon appt and I was going to be bringing my mom along with us, I decided to make an appt for Flo, too, to see if maybe it was possible to shut down her 'Alaskan pipeline' permanent nose drip.
Today was the day!! Flo was at 2:50 with the doctor, and Betty was 3:15 with the audiologist. Perfect! Right? Wrong!!
We arrived at 2:40 and I handed over the volumes of Flo's info that had been filled out.[She was a new patient.]
And the waiting began...we made friends with others waiting...we solved the problems of the world!! And then they were both called at the same time.
Betty went for her test and Flo and I went into another room[waiting].
Betty was done and we were still waiting.
"The doctor will be in."
"The doctor had to take a phonecall."
At this point, I suggested that we reschedule at a different time. It wasn't life or death. Flo has stock in Puff's Plus and her nose wasn't going to fall off.
"He's off of the phone. She's next."
Ten minutes later...I voiced that rescheduling was looking like the way to go.
"I don't know what's keeping him...he should be right out."
Back into Flo's room. And then she said those words that trumped all others.
"I have to go to the bathroom." I told her that I would gladly take her to the bathroom.
"I don't want to use the bathroom here."
Alrighty then! And away we go!
As we passed the 'make an appointment desk', I said, "We'll reschedule."
It had been an hour, and that was enough.
We left, grabbed a $5 already hot and ready pizza on the way home, discovered that Betty also liked pizza and so we scooped up a second $5 already hot and ready pizza, and went home.

I am a patient person. There was no huff or flair as we rolled out.
I got the impression that not many people exercise their right to 'call it a day.'
Well we did. And then we had pizza[my favorite] and chocolate turtles[Flo's favorite].
And would the last one out of the doctor's office please turn off the light.

A trillionth of a second???

Surrender Dorothy!! Okay, I officially am giving up on the previous discussions of Olympic medal distinctions based upon the splitting a second into tenths, hunderdths, and even thousandths! Why??
In watching nightly news [ABC]with Charlie Gibson, the last report had to do with scientists in Geneva who are about to recreate an explosion similar to that which is referred to as the big bang [theory.] An 8 billion dollar project, there's a tunnel which is a time machine where 2 proton beams will collide and scientists hope to find out what the earth is made of and what happened a trillionth of a second after the explosion. They are not sure what's going to happen.
I am speechless. And shaking my head.

Once again, the souls in purgatory have flown through the gates!!

Meant as a humorous aside, [the title that is], From my religious education[12 years], we are told that there are souls bound for heaven, but not yet eligible for whatever reason, and they exist in a place called 'Purgatory'. I can recall the phrase...Pray for the souls in purgatory that they may enter Heaven sooner. As a result of this, at some point in my life, when I experienced something that I will call -----challenging maybe, I began using the 'title of this post' as my way of defining a particular event!!
Let me just say that there are many souls who have gained an earlier access as I offered up my trials and tribulations in life!! The latest?

A shot of cortisone in the ankle area! Actually, one dose of quick acting and one dose of later acting, preceded by an icy cold blast of 'instant wow! that's cold' and a shot of Novocaine!!
Having previously experienced shots of cortisone in my knee and finger[s], I was looking forward to the dramatic change it would bring! I am hoping that the long acting
dose kicks in because I still have the ankle/foot thing going on the same as pre-shot time.
I'm confident that the souls in purgatory are pleading my 'ankle thing' with the powers that Be.
A short aside...I now compare events by my knee aspiration/cortisone shot : my 'Jesus, Mary, and Joseph' shot in the knee[about 10 years ago]. That's what I think the waiting room may have heard from behind closed doors!!
The one before that[my first 'remove the fluid from my knee' 19 years ago] was the, 'Ooph! That was just like a labor pain...so where's the baby?' They just kinda became my own personal benchmarks of comparison.
Not being disrespectful in my choice of how to say a prayer, or clear the gates in one felled swoop!
Not complaining either. I know there are trials and tribulations on a global scale.
Feel free to help 'clear the gates' with me. [whether you believe or not]. Let me remind you that I have also referenced clapping for 'Tinkerbell's revival'. Whatever works for you!! TTFN

Made to last~

Yesterday, as my mom was getting dressed, her jewelry case was placed in her lap to select rings and things for the day. She picked up a watch and said, "I haven't seen this in years. Do you know how old this is?"
"I was given this diamond watch for 10 years of service at Packard[the car co.]. "
Flo didn't believe it still worked, and so I brought it to a jewelery store. They looked it over, declared that it was certainly pre-battery days, explained the wind-up process, and guess what...It keeps perfect time!! It has to be 65-70 years old. Little joys rediscovered are such a treat. An 'old bird' and old 'watch'- both still ticking...both of them gems!

The Annual Retirement Celebration Tradition

Today was the first day of school for the kids. And that means that it is the Annual Retirement Jubilee!! One of the teachers who retired from the district where I worked for 30 years decided that there should be a celebration for retired staff on this day...like champagne and sitting in lawn chairs and waving at the school buses as they went by on their way to school. I seem to remember it starting like a joke..."I'll be out there waving to you..."
Well, it actually is a very nice gathering of retired folk and a very tasty brunch. An open invitation to all retirees, it is always fun to see the faces of the 'newly retired'! Arrive with a dish to pass and a great big smile and let the fun begin. It is amazing to reunite with the people with whom you have spent so much time on a daily basis. Some of them I still see on a regular basis:[breakfast, a shopping excursion to The Christmas Tree Shop or Marshalls], another friend tells me about her grown up children [who were students in my 5th grade classroom], some bring fruit from their prolific garden or fruit-bearing trees, and some of the faces are new to me. There are 3 different buildings within the district and many jobs from teachers, counselors, cafeteria crew, secreterial wizards, support staff, PSEN assistants [holy cow...remember that giant record keeping program ??!!], Title 1 ...I mean Chapter 1 people, Special Ed...I mean Committee for Special Education...Resource Room, coaches, etcetera, etcetera, and so forth! [The King and I].
It's a "See you next year-God willing and the crick don't rise!"
What percent were happy to be there and not sweating with the kiddies? 99.9% of us.
The one tenth is remembering opening day, new beginnings, and guiding the future Social Security Funders of America!! And aahh...oh yeah...hearing the 'Whew' at the end of the Day One!! [followed by the 'oh my gosh, only one hundred eighty-something more'.] Retired! Wahoo!!

Another set of "stupid, stupider, stupidest" awards: And it goes to...

Deal or No Deal!!
To begin with, it debutted as a stupid show. To win, there is absolutely no talent involved, whatsoever! But Let's Make a Deal from the 60's set that precedent long ago. It merits 'stupid' points with the 26 scantily clad models in lingerie that begin the show with, "Hi Howie!!" And it was 'head-shakingly painful' to watch greedy people give up huge amounts of money while shouting, "I know I have the million right here in my case...so 'No Deal'!! Then they go home with $1.00.
Stupider: The show began having stunts like having a man cut off his goatee because the banker didn't like it. They brought in live animals, offers to sing on Broadway, celebrities with good luck wishes, AND when no one had actually won the million dollar prize...they added more million dollar prizes. And still, no one won. A drumroll please... lower the bar some more...
Stupidest: There were commercials advertising that 'Someone has won the million. Don't miss the new season's opening show." There were preview clips showing a woman closing in on the prize. Before a commercial, they told us...23 minutes to a winner...don't miss it!! The woman announced from the start that she knew the three cases with the most amount of money, and also would predict the amounts before the cases were opened...and be right. It exceeded bizarre- and guess what-
She won the million dollar prize!!! Can you believe it? I'm shocked!!
Just as I stated in a former post of, How much did my last tootsie roll cost? I have not had another tootsie roll, and I won't in the future, either.
And so, I am stating now that it's NO DEAL for me...and you can take that to the bank!
That is if the banks don't begin to fold again. It's getting kind of crazy...crazy...I can foresee a new set of awards beginning to appear: crazy, crazier, craziest!!
Have any nominees??
