The Last Lecture
Today I read the book, "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch with Jeffrey Zaslow. It has 5 parts: 'The Last Lecture', 'Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams, 'Enabling the Dreams of Others', 'Adventures and Lessons Learned, and 'It's About How to Live Your Life.'
Randy Pausch recently died of pancreatic cancer at 47 leaving a wife and three kids. He was a college professor who provided insights about living life as a part of his computer classes.
The Last Lecture was recorded and can be accessed at You-Tube and is about 75 minutes. An upbeat presentation, I recommend it.
The book, written when he was alive, is not a sad commentary. It is a worthwhile compilation of some pretty good ideas.
Kinda makes you think.

I couldn't agree more. I actually quoted him a couple of times in a post not too long ago. He was the author of one of my all time favorites, "It's better to do the right things adequately, than to do the wrong things beautifully". He was a wise and tender man, full of humor and courage. I've seen tge video, a few times. And I have every intention of buying "The Last Lecture" so I can mark it up as I please while reading it. Underlining a book is one of the great pleasures of life in my opinion.
Thanks for paying him a tribute he so richly deserves.

I remember reading about him in the Sunday paper. He sounded like such a fabulous person. It's so sad to think of him gone.
