An attempt for humor...

I am trying to bring about some levity, 'cause Lord knows I could use some.

May your words be tasty...

These daisies found a way to grow up and through a very small opening in my newspaper holder while reaching for the light.  I have to admit that when I look at them I smile thinking about the route they took while trying to reach their destination.  It was certainly not the path of least resistance. And I think about people who are pleasant regardless of what might be going on in their lives.  .
On the flip side of that thought,  I never understand how anyone can make rude and unnecessary comments with no thought or regard to how their words may affect someone. We do not know what is going on in anyone's life or just how difficult their path may be.
In the general public arena, do an alternate set of rules take over which is different than how a friend or acquaintance would be treated?  Why do some feel the need to make judgements about the appearance, clothing, and/or behaviors of whatever 'enters their vision' whether in the grocery store or while watching television?
The newspaper, Facebook, and some conversations contain remarks that I wouldn't want said either out loud or in print about those I know or don't know, either..  I have come to the point where I have occasionally remarked,
"Now there's an example of something that I may have thought, but never would have said out loud."
Hey, someone has to point out how thoughtless and hurtful comments can be...and those said in jest are just as bad.
Tact isn't working.  Rude is rude.
You choose your attitude.  Once those words are out of your mouth, you cannot get them back.
And there you have it.  I am now going to step off of my soapbox.  I do feel better, though.  Venting can be beneficial to your health.

Words of Wisdom

The last movie that I saw was 'The Most Exotic Marigold Hotel' and I enjoyed it.  It had aha moments, soundbites, and laughter.  The quote that stayed with me from this movie was ...
"Everything will be all right in the end, and if everything's not all right...it isn't the end."

Gee Whiz!!

What an unfortunate series of events...
My foot surgery did not resolve itself in a timely manner.
This kept me off of my RA meds.
So then, the rest of my body competed for centerstage attention.
I had to redo the foot surgery and I am once again sporting a less than attractive boot.
My computer quit.  One year old and 10 days out of warranty....really?!!
Long story short, it was overnighted back to me today.
I was able to state my case in a normal tone of voice all the while talking with someone in New Delhi and/or the Phillipines.  I kept asking to speak with their supervisor when I got nowhere on my various calls.

It all made 'status quo' look good.
None of my trials and tribulations were problems.  They were inconveniences.  There are many people dealing with serious issues.  I am thankful that my friends and my health insurance were there for me.
The leaves are starting to show some awesome colors.
There were good times and funny stories...like Flo going to her caregiver's wedding.
Details and pictures to follow.
