This has got to stop!
Last night...actually the wee hours of the morning...my cell phone made the 'incoming text message' sound. It was 2:27 AM and when I opened the phone to check it out, it was an automated message! This is about the third time that I have gotten a text from the unknown. This last one had an email address, and when I called Sprint to ask for the phone number to stop these calls, they told me to go to the email address and have them remove my phone number. I typed in the email address, and it doesn't go through. I get, "Please check the spelling..."
Today I got a text message from Empower Federal Credit Union with
some kind of a security warning: unusual activity... call 1 866 ...I called to say 'What the ??" and it is always busy. I have no account with their credit union. Does anyone know the 'Take me off the unsolicited call list' phone number? Any suggestions?

There is a number now for Do Not Call for cell phones, but I don't know it. Contact your service provider.

Hi Mare, I just googled the Do Not Call site and got this:
https://www.donotcall.gov/
You can go to this site and register your phone. I did mine a while ago and haven't had a problem.

Ah, the beauty of living where the mountains & remote parts make cell service spotty at best. We just keep a 'tracphone' to take when one of us goes out without the other.

I especially hate the automated calls. I can't even get the minor pleasure derived from hanging up on someone.
Glad to read you were able to get the situation under control.

Hey Aunt Mare; If you Google the phone number, you may find out more information. There is something called (something like) whatnumberisthis.com (I can't remember the actual website name) but it serves to track numbers that are spamming your cell or home phones... check ito ut.
Love you. Kate
