A star-studded distraction from the real world...

It's the annual Golden Globe Awards, and I am sitting here watching the red carpet coverage[ the only thing that is covered]. It always fascinates me how the people act and dress. A good friend of mine will be calling me with a "mammory glands alert", 'cause many of the stars appear to have on a half of a dress.
Although if we compare tonight's outfits to those worn in the 'Dancing with the Stars' competition, well...there is no comparison. Signing off for tonight. Tomorrow starts a new week.

  • i love your goose with the coconuts. I agree about styles of the famous and successful hollywood stars-leaves little to the imagination...

  • They do tend to dress in less and less these days. It's like a competition to see who can have the most nothing on. Can't figure that out. Heaven forbid if too much of my knees shows...eeewwww.

  • oh my goodness...your goose needs to give out mammory gland alert. But that line about the red carpet being the only thing covered was PRICELESS! And oh so true.

  • There was a letter to the editor in a local paper this morning about the television reality show, The Bachelor. The writer commented that the man came out in a lovely suit and tie, but the women showed more skin than dresses. I don't watch, but I believed the writer. If that's the message we are sending young girls, we need to turn off the television.

  • Isn't it interesting that when men dress up they put on more layers and when women dress up they take them off? And they are going to the same place with the same surrounding temperatures? Never really made sense to me.

  • Oh my... this post is terrific! Not only are your observations spot on, you have described them with great wit. You are an extremely clever young thing.

As are your readers... I loved every single comment. They all made me giggle a bit.

I won't hesitate to tell you I have an obbsession with "Dancing With the Stars"... My hubby calls it a perversion. Considering the lack of costuming, he's probably closer to right. I did notice, however, that when Marie Osmond was on she dressed comparitively modestly. Of course, she had 60 pounds on the rest of the girls. It makes me laugh when she says how much weight she's lost with Nutri-System... she she got a major leg up on losing those pounds twirling and spinning around the dance floor.

Anyway, I repeat myself, I know but, I truly enjoyed this post. You're such a delight!
