Zoaring With Glinda

Aches, obsessions, and mindless winter distraction.

I ache, therefore I am!!
Well there certainly is a big weather change coming up. If you are not sure you believe it, I am here to tell you that,'yep, yep, it's a happening thing!" I guess that it is going to go to sub zero temperatures in a couple of days. As long as there is no bad weather on Saturday, I'll deal with being 'the tin woman' whilst it changes. I am going to see the musical,"RENT" with my son and his girlfriend. I am very excited about my daytrip.

In writing the post '10 things' about me, I mentioned my Backgammon and Hearts skills. I have not played either one in quite a while since you need a partner or more for these games. I have quite a Solitaire streak going on the computer, and I decided to explore what else was lurking in the laptop!!. I found both games!! OMG!!! I am already seriously into the hearts game[playing 3 contestants] and I will probably have to call my doctor for some blood pressure medicine!!![just kidding]. I hate to lose.

American Idol starts tomorrow, and that definitely makes my mom happy. It helps to pass the winter months and we realize that it is not rocket science. It is what it is. There will be several weeks of auditions that could make you crazy. But when it gets to the final 12 contestants, that's when a little bit of gamblin' goes on! Until then, you can find me playing hearts and 'shooting the moon' and 'stalking that queen of spades' all the while sharpening my strategerie!![That's a George W word...bye bye George.]

  • I have resisted finding games on the computer. To many other things I want to do.
I will watch American Idol when they get the contestants narrowed down. The awful auditions make me squirm.

  • Enjoy Rent with your son and his girlfriend. And keep warm! We in Maine are expecting very cold temps.

  • I've never played those games on the computer much less with real cards. I'm not good with checkers either.

I had fun watching American Idol last night, too. I think Kara (Cara?) is an interesting addition but I didn't get how the situation would be if two judges said yes and two said no. Ah well... it was fun.

The auditions are kind of uncomfortable for me, too.

  • Another LOL post from Glinda.

The auditions for A.I. are downright torture. I can't scrape the "What the heck was THAT?" wrinkles off my forehead for two days after watching some of those delusional contestants squirm and screech into the microphone. So... like Linda, I'll wait til the field is narrowed.

We had outside temperatures that hit -17 degrees last week. But, it didn't feel that cold. Maybe because it's so dry in Utah, and we have no wind chill factor to deal with. Not that I didn't bundle up to go outside, mind you... but, it was surprisingly tolerable. Since then it's been sunny and warmer. Pleasant, actually.

Well, Mare... I can see you're well on your way to becoming a champion on the cyber world of cards. I'll have to polish up my glittering tiara to ship to you when you're announced the new Queen of Hearts.
