Altered states!!
Well, my mom is kind of in 'altered states', and for whatever reason it causes her to be awake for long periods of time. [like all night!!] Which means that no one else had much shut eye, either! She is seeing the doctor right now, and I hope that something shows up so that it can be treated. That being said, I have seen this quote many times before and didn't truly relate its signific
ance.I know someone with little/no health insurance, someone whose dog was diagnosed with a chronic ailment, someone who had a very difficult decision to make, someone whose business is struggling, etc.
Many times you can look at someone's face and have absolutely no idea what they are worried about.
So, let's be kind to each other, and even do something to bring on a smile for a specific person.

What a lovely idea. You're absolutely right, we all have our own worries and struggles--even if we cover with a smile.

Well... you certainly have had your share of reasons to "put your smile on upside down"...
I so hope Flo can get some rest... and allow you to get a little as well. It's an important part of your healing process.
I'll add your names to my prayers. (Not that I have a whole lot of influence...) But, I think every word said on your behalf helps.
Take care of BOTH of you!

I'll hold good thoughts for you and your Mom. I know this is a difficult time for all of you. And thanks for the reminder! I'm going to put this badge on my blog as a reminder to me as much as to anyone else.

This is a good reminder for everyone. Interesting that you should post this. Susan at Stony River Farm just wrote about something like this. I hope Flo and you gets some sleep soon.

I am sorry about Flo becoming an all-night owl. Maybe her internal clock has gotten messed up..You're right, it's good to remember that everyone is fighting some kind of battle..but I hope the doc has some help for you...Michelle

Mare,
What a wonderful saying!
It's so true. It should be a bumper sticker.
