3 strikes! Yikes!!

I went to the doctor today, and while the doctor/surgeon is pleased with the latest x rays, I am to stay off of my right foot for another month. I was mentally prepared for this, so it wasn't a surprise. Since I want it to heal, and have NO desire to start this whole process all over again, I remain sidelined as my leg heals. Just stating facts, and I realize that there are worse scenarios happening to other people. Let me just get this one scream out of my system! There...I feel better.

Tomorrow I am going to the dentist because last week, the Good Lord sent along a distraction for me to get my attention off of my broken leg....
I broke a tooth eating a cookie. I have been trying to remember to eat on the right side of my mouth because of the big gaping hole in my upper back tooth. I'm hoping that it is not a root canal or crown to fix it!!
I like my dentist very much, but I would prefer not to see him very often.

And today, so that I wouldn't think about my broken leg or my tooth needing attention, guess what was the latest annoying occurrence to happen my way...
My cable TV went...poof! and it was gone! I called Time Warner and over the phone they sent a new digital signal out to reboot it[ 3 x] and since it didn't work...they would have to send
someone out to the house...and the earliest appointment is next Monday!

I realize this is not a crisis, so I did my stress reducing deep breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth. So, let me just release some of this hot air! Ooph! Out goes the bad air!
Things come in threes...so I'm looking forward to my three good things which I assume will be happening along any time now...I believe.

  • I've been waiting for one good thing to happen. A problem that was suppsed to (and I needed to be) solved today, wasn't. My last nerve is in mortal danger. Sigh.

    Take care!!!!

  • Hang on. I know it is tough when you're unable to move very well and can't even watch television--darn.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your three good things coming. I'm sure they will.

  • I was just reading Lost World by Crichton and there was something about the chaos theory where bad things suddenly start happening in a streak. I forget why because I have a terrible memory. However, maybe now that's out of the way so you'll have sunny, happy days ahead. It's gotta all be good stuff now, Mare.

  • It's good to hear you're healing nicely and glad to hear you are taking the doctor's advice about staying off of it (for however long). You will be so happy you did. I'm thinking of you and wish you well.

  • I'm glad that you are healing well, but no TV when you are otherwise stuck in the house is mean. Usually they come out really fast..Monday is a long way off..Do you have a good book to read? Of course you haven't been able to get to the library recently either....Michelle

  • Oh gosh you have a great attitude nonetheless. I hope your tooth proved to be a minor fix as I dont like dentits either. A necessary evil though arent they? Maybe you are getting all the bad stuff over with all at once. Smooth sailing ahead!!!
