Go With the Flo!

A little bit of 'writer's block' lately...As I was wheeling Flo into the bathroom in preparation for going to bed, she asks, "Does it snow in the dark?"
"It certainly does...snow doesn't need the light!"
This is after yesterday's small spell. It has happened a couple of times where she is very difficult to wake [in the living room chair in the daytime]. Visually, she looked annoyed and acted out a bit of her Maxine personality. Yet later in the afternoon, my brother called and from across the room she yelled, "Tell him I am wearing the red jacket that he gave me...two days in a row. I love it!" She looks like Little Red Riding Hood in it, and very cute.
Out of confusion, and into coherent!
I learned from a guide that I word processed for The Matthew House[a Hospice home] that hearing is the last sense to go. I remind myself of that when trying to bring her back from wherever the heck she goes.
She loves her bed, and says it often. I do, too. And Gracie [unlike Goldilocks] loves both beds.
Tomorrow is another day. A massage[better than pain medication]...some volunteering at the hospital [where I generally get some reading done], and the rest of the day is unplanned as of yet. Maybe some Facebook Wordscraper, and Hearts and Solitaire on my computer. Whatever.
I am teaching another Driving Class on the first and second Saturdays in February...always good ...making the roads safer one driver at a time, and there is laughter and sharing, too.
Speaking of laughter and with no disrespect intended, when the earthquake in Haiti caused all those buildings to collapse [ I've made a contribution because they sure could use help]..there was a man who had a supermarket collapse around him, and was able to stay alive because amidst the rubble everywhere, he could reach the cola, beer, and cookies. Now I say that he is that person who can fall in 'compost' and come up smelling like a rose! And there you have it. For today.

Coca Cola could use that incident in a commercial that it can keep you alive. Must be all the sugar in it.
I'm amazed at how you're keeping all your spirits up. I know it can't be very easy to care for your parents when they are not always coherent. It bothers me sometimes when my mother forgets things. She's also been sick 5 times this winter. It's a worry, isn't it?
