Golden Globes

I am thinking that Mariah Carey either doesn't own a mirror, or she must have been looking in the wrong direction just as these two feathered friends in this picture are modeling.

Mom and I watched The Golden Globes on television, and sometimes 'The Red Carpet' is more fun to watch than the Award Show. As the commentators quipped the next day, "Did you see Mariah Carey's dress?"
"Nope...All I saw where those 'Golden Globes'!"

Today, we watched The Sag Awards which I had taped so that Flo could watch it. Whatever motivated Mariah to wear this dress, I applaud that designer, and give them a raise! Much improved! No jealousy whatsoever about them there mammory glands of hers, I merely wish that I could sing as beautifully as she does.

Betty White was given a 'Lifetime Achievement Award'. She is 88 years old, and she stole the show. Her speech had some very, very funny lines. I didn't realize how diverse her career had been over 6 decades. It was a pleasure watching her.

When they presented the salute to those talented people who have passed along to wherever, I was surprised at how many I did not know. That segment was wrapped up quite appropriately with Patrick Swayze exiting as his character in 'Ghost'.

I am looking forward to a movie or two from the selection that was shown at the awards. And there you have it. My aching hands need to wrap it up for now.
