A Casting Call...
This is new to me. I am now sporting a cast on my right foot. I have quickly gotten used to it and I can keep up with the' best of 'em' with my walker that has brakes and a seat in case I am traveling long distances!! As Gilda Radner said, "It's always something!!"
So, I am taking a poll: Have you ever had a cast?...where?...for how long?

Oh NO!!! How in the heck could the fates put one person in a cast twice in such a short period of time? grrrr... something does seem a might unfair about it all. I have never been in a cast. I've only had one child in a cast. This is not something I've had much experience with...and I really don't want any more than what I've had.
I am so sorry, Mare. I hope you have a tall stack of good books or magazines or...hey! This may be the time to start an art journal. You certainly could fill one up with some stories and insights that would keep your posterity inthralled for years to come. You have lead (and continue to lead) quite a life!!!
Please wish Flo a Happy Belated Birthday from Caryn at the Hollow. 100 and still full of sass and looking pretty! Wow!!

glad to hear Caryn is rejoining our blogging group...she's on my blog today for our party last Monday with spouses. Sorry to hear you are casting about...but it won't slow you down much. I've never had a cast...Happy holidays anyway!

Yes, on my ankle, following a severe sprain. I couldn't manage the crutches, so I used a wheelchair at school until I got my walking cast. Keeping the cast dry in the shower was a headace. I think it was about sixweeks.

Yup! My foot! Right after your last accident. I remember what a pain it was. I hated the crutches. I love how you keep optimistic through everything, Mare. You are a wonderful example to all of us.

Yes, I did have a cast after surgery on my left knee. It was unexpected because I was assured the scope would fix things and I would be up and about in no time.
I hated the experience.
Take care. I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Merry Christmas!

Darn, how unpleasant for you. I broke my arm when I was 6--a long time ago. My medical things have generally not included casts.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
