Well, the week has been eventful!! I decided on Monday morning that Mom's physical condition was not going in the right direction, and needed some adjustments that were beyond my power. Off to the ho

spital for 5 days of medical attention, IV antibiotics and fluids, and focused care by many people who have chosen this as their profession. Flo is coming home tomorrow, and hopefully she will continue to improve. Bronchitis, wheezing, coughing, and some disorientation were the negative forces, and yet within those 5 days, her two roomates were fascinating to meet and [unknowingly] shared a life lesson or two. The first one was a '100 years and 8 months old' woman who had fallen, and the second one has lived with MS for 45 years and needed some therapy. Details to follow, but first I must catch up on some sleep. In the meantime, be a positive force in someone's chaos.

I'm so glad to know that Flo is doing better. You have been an amazing care giver. However, I can just imagine the stress you've been going through just because I worry about my mom all the time, too. Do please get some rest now. Flo would want you to.

So wise of you to seek help when you sense it is needed. That comes from knowing your mother so well, and being attuned to her needs through all of your loving care.

Mare;
Glad to hear that Flo will be coming home tomorrow. Bet she misses you and her own bed!
I'm sure you are exausted. I know it took me weeks to finally feel like myself after my Mom's battle.
Many prayers for you and Flo.
