Now seriously...NOT!
I think that I'd like to go out and play. My inner child surfaced today when I had breakfast with a friend who kid sits for a two year old. It was such fun to watch him play with the toys in the kiddie corner of the restaurant.
When it was time to go, he pulled on his yellow rubber boots. As we each walked to our car, Diane said to him, "Let's find a puddle because today you have your boots on!!" And that he did. There's something about watching a two year old standing in a puddle that adds some good perspective to life. It's kind of like my dog, Gracie's aura...she is always ready for a good time. She has that "Let's Go" sparkle in her eyes at all times.
I think I'm ready for some playtime.

Isn't it wonderful to watch good harmless fun? Innocent fun, the world needs more of it.

There definitely is something about kids and puddles; I never saw one who could pass by standing water.
You gave me an extra smile today.

Nice post, really makes me think about how seldom my inner child gets to play. I'm going to make it a point to do something childishly fun...tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder.

when my son was a child
and then again with my nieces
I used to love to stomp in puddles and run in piles of leaves
and dance in the rain
looking forward to doing it again with my granddaughter

That's why I like teaching music and directing the musicals. I get to dance (as if no one is looking!) and act (silly - sometimes) - and everyone thinks I'm working and I get paid for it! What could be better?
