Celebrating milestones...

It was two years ago that my niece, Katie, set up my blog and it sure has been great. I must also recognize Kay in Hawaii who was the first person to read it and respond . Two years later, there are many cyber friends whose lives I regularly follow. And I have come to realize how much I like to write and so it's a good match for me. That was February 16, 2008!

The other milestone occurred one year ago on February 17, 2009. I slid, lost my balance, and was face down on the lawn before I even knew what had happened. After a phone call to 911, I heard the siren go off to summon the responders and thought how strange it was to know that it was for me! And then I had my first ambulance ride where I was the injured person. I had no idea how much my life would be affected and the length of time that would be necessary to get back on my feet. It really was a life altering experience.

And it's history! And I'm walking! And today, I did not venture out of the house. I stayed inside and watched it snow...it was a much better day.
