Nothing out of the ordinary.

It's been a week since my last post. Can't think of anything interesting to share.
My son and I both had June birthdays, not particularly celebratory just [life] stuff happening that dampened the mood.
My brother visited for the 4th of July weekend.
I am very tired of hearing about Michael Jackson. While he was a talented entertainer, he is like Sarah Palin...just won't go away.
Government isn't getting anything done...hell, in NY they convene, and leave...vote on nothing as they are tied and at an impasse.
And another govt official is off in Argentina .with his 'soul mate'....what about his 4 sons at home?
Why is it that people can be mean or rude without thinking about other than themselves?
War bothers me. So does violence. And how desensitized we are to them.
How come the news is always bad? Wouldn't some good news be great?
I returned to volunteer at the hospital for a couple of hours, and my knees let me know that sitting was best. I was able to start the book , "Girls from Ames" that my friend of forty years gave me. [while I was sitting down].
Taking care of Flo. She's good. She is a work of art. And an inspiration!
Watching the birds take a bath in a huge puddle.
The dog gets groomed on Wed.
Dentist appts on Thursday. Yuck.
See what I mean?
Blah, blah, blah. I have the blahs.
Not complaining. I am in a funk.
This too shall pass.

  • missed your posts, you are an example to many of us of what is right in the world. taking care of flo and volunteering in the hospital while you are still recuperating. What a woman!

  • I'm so glad to have you back! Even when you're in a funk and suffering from acute blahitis, you seem to touch my core. I SO know how you feel.

What in the world do I have to write about? And yet, my life is so good! I just find myself a little overwhelmed by the responsibilities I've taken on now and then. And the responsibilities that you have and carry on your shoulders without complaint inspire me! You, like you say of your mother, are a work of art indeed. One of God's masterpieces!

  • Geez...I posted first and I see I must not have done things correctly! What I said was simple..."AMEN to Palin and Michael!"

  • Mare-
Just one orange cremesicle could get things hummin' again. If it ever stops raining around here, you and Flo could savor the moment. Better days are ahead...

  • I'm so glad you're back, Mare. You voiced just what I was feeling about everything. I've been rather weird tired the past couple of days. I saw your posts and wanted to comment but I needed some time. I love your posts so much that I wanted to really sit back and read them carefully.

  • I too missed your posts, but I do understand the blahs..I think of you taking care of Flo as I deal with the Mother, but I am done for now having come away as the 'mean child' and my daughter is slowly getting over her shingles..so I want some calm in my life for a while....Michelle
