Yesterday was my first trip driving my car since Feb. 17 , and it was great, and I was pooped afterward!! Just a three minute drive to Meals on Wheels to visit friends, and practice walking. The walker gives a sense of assistance, and it went well. I stopped on the way home a

nd bought some already growing sunflowers. I had called ahead and was able to make that transaction from the driver's seat of the car. I didn't want to test the gravelly plant place's ground. Nice people and very helpful. When I got home, I took a couple of Aleve, and wished that Physical Therapy wasn't at 430 because I didn't think I had the amount of energy to do all that I knew was on the agenda. Well, 430 came and went, and YES! There is a God! PT was actually scheduled for Wed...so I got a one day reprieve!! Wahoo!

Just keep being careful, yet trying to do a bit more each day until you're healed. Good karma is bound to come your way.

My younger daughter wants to be a physical therapist. Seeing what you have to go through makes me wonder if she will be successful.

Life is SWEET now and then, isn't it?
Today brought you some freedom and independance, some friends to sit and chat with for a while, sunflowers to lift your spirits, some kind people to lift them even more... and then unexpected and appreciated time to rest from the abundance you enjoyed. Wahoo, indeed!!
I'm so pleased to hear that life is moving along in all the right directions for you, Mare!

You are so amazing, Mare. I really sympathize with what you're going through. I've been seeing that in just a short time, my leg in the boot cast is thinner than the other and has lost muscle tone. I see why PT is so important. Good luck! I'll be thinking about you and waiting to hear about your progress.
