Hip Hip Hooray!!

I finished the antibiotics on Sunday, and so as of Monday I am back on my regular meds. What a difference that makes! I think, generally, that you don't really think about different body parts until they are screaming[in pain], or they are not permitting you to accomplish everyday regular tasks. My knees and shoulders are no longer the focal point of my existence. Wahoo!
I still have to finish up researching[ dr. appts] what happened in reference to the pneumonia. Last night I had to wear that little finger oxygen monitor just for a night to see how much oxygen I get as I sleep. It registers both oxygen level [supposed to be 92% or higher], and it also registered heart rate. While I was still awake, my oxygen levels were great, and during the night I looked at it a couple of times, and all was well. The heart rate...last night I dreamt that I had been kidnapped, and didn't know where I was. I wonder how that affected everything!!
I am prepared for the news that my breathing is great, but 'Holy Cow'...your heart rate was all over the place!!
So, if you are not experiencing any difficulties with your body systems/ aches, pains, etc...acknowledge that wonderful state of being, and be glad. TTFN

  • Thank goodness you are now on the road to wellness and less pain.
My aches and pains are due to bending and stooping and crawling around the garden, and doing the hill walk on my neighborhood streets. I am very grateful that I can do both even if I do feel it afterward.

  • isn't that true that we take for granted our normally functioning body till something doesn't work as it normally should...elbow aches, toe swells up, etc. I find with my new diagnosis of diabetes that I'm more aware of my body functions which also can add stress to your life. oh to be young again but that's not the direction we are heading. so we just have to adjust to the changes and make the best of our health issues. there is always something to be learned in any situation. glad you are feeling better.

  • best wishes for continued good health!

I know what you mean about taking health for granted

  • So glad to hear you are doing better. I hope you continue to improve, quickly. It is so frustrating to have things go wrong -- takes soooo long to get them right these days.

I know what you mean about enjoying body parts that work and don't give us trouble. Trouble can happen at a moment's notice, the wrong turn too quickly can cause a multitude of problems.

I don't even reach from the front seat into the back seat of a car for anything anymore -- took me 2 weeks to get rid of that crook, crick, twist, strain, sprain??? whatever it was.
