Mare...I was born a lefty and my grandmother and mother were determined to make me a righty. Now I have horrible handwriting..So Happy Lefty Day...Michelle
Happy lefty day from a confirmed righty. The only way I could ever make my left hand be very efficient was if I had to do without a right hand for, say, 10 years!
I tell myself that's why I liked math more than art.
They have a whole day to celebrate beig left handed??? That's a riot! Does it count that I can kick higher with my left foot that my right one? nah...probably not.
My grandson's left handed, well... mostly. He does use his right hand almost as much. But all of his artwork is done as a leftie. He quarterbacks as a leftie. He puts his left hand out when you introduce him to someone. But, technically, I guess he's ambidextrious. (how do you spell that?} The only thing he can't do with his left hand is tough his left elbow. But then, who can?
I'm trying too hard to crash this party, aren't I? Let me just say, Happy being a leftie national day of celebration!!
Glinda is a leftie who is completely in her right mind. Her blog is intended to be a 'Flo'-ing series of musings, thoughts of the day, and life adventures that should make you smile.
Retired teacher...I enjoyed learning with the students.[5th grade- 18 years, 6th-2 years, 4th-4yrs, 3rd-3 yrs, 1st- 1 yr, Kdg- 2 yrs. I don't miss the stress or the paperwork! I miss interaction with learning and the kids' 'aha' moments. If you stop by, please leave a hello![in the form of a comment].

I just read your post to my daughter, Mare and she smiled broadly and raised both her arms. Yahoo to both of you.
