Against All Odds!
Switching from cable to Verizon had a few bumps in the road. My bedroom TV was not cooperating and when I called them for the 3rd time, they said they would mail me a new box....
UPS delivered the new box, and one of Flo's helpers switched out the old for the new while I was out for an hour or two. She left.
Well...the remote control no longer worked and all I could get was,
NO SIGNAL...NO SIGNAL....NO SIGNAL
Damn!!
I figured that the new box was no longer in sync with the remote, but I am far from able to read most directions and produce the desired results. I have many strengths and some weaknesses, and things were looking bleak. Logic is basically a left brained thing, and I am definitely right!![brained!!] But I figured...why give up before at least reaching 'the swearing stage'?
I went online, and clicked on prompts which led me to a web page of directions that were soooo small and in 7 different languages. I found the code for my Haier TV and yet I knew that was not enough to make that remote work.
I followed the steps and no surprise to me....it didn't connect the electronic devices.
I had to give it a second chance. Learned that in grammar school.
The paramedics have revived me and my blood pressure is back on its way to normal
'cause...I DID IT!!!
Incredible...Phenomenal, and 'Holy Mackerel!!!
I think I should contact NASA...I may be able to help them figure out how to get a few more years out of that satellite station in space.
Ya never know...stranger things have happened.
Hey...don't rain on my parade!!! It was a good time!!! [with no swearing, too!!]

I am VERY impressed. You are resourceful, and you never gave up. You may have a new career in the making. Really, I never figure these things out. My yell for my husband, who is ever ready to fix these things.

Isn't that the worst feeling when you are stuck with a technological problem and no idea how to fix it? Happens to me all the time. But, it sure is a great feeling of accomplishment when you figure it out on your own. Good for you for sticking with it!

I'm coming over and you can get my email to work on my "smart" phone! After and hour and a half on the phone with AT&T (over other issues) I cannot get my email to work again...not that it is vital...but it was convenient!
Yell for your husband? That is a joke at my house...so technology challenged is he!!!

Isn't that the greatest feeling, when you run into a technical problem, you give a good old try...and with a little 'hang-to-it-ness'...you get it to work!!!
