Goodbye to August!
August is my least favorite month. It is hot...I hate hot. As a teacher, there was a severe shortage of money in August as the cash flow had been dormant for a couple of months. Perhaps another one or two bad vibes...for me.
In the past few weeks, I attended a wedding, a funeral, a movie, did some couch shopping, read a book, taught a safe driving 
class, had the winning team on Expedition Impossible, took care of Flo, and wished I would have more energy than I do.

As a teacher, I always felt that summer ended, sort of, once August 1 arrived, because I spent most of August either getting ready for the new school year or worrying that I might have forgotten how to teach during the summer. I like August much better now. The dwindling hours of daylight, though, depress me a little.

I suppose the windshield is better off! Nice to hear from you Mare, a wedding and a funeral coming so close together...that's difficult I would think.

I am so happy to hear from you...I am not going to miss the heat but I have some tests and finding out if I am diabetic soon....sigh...hugs to you and Flo....
