Recalculating...
The weekend was pretty nice. The weather was hotter than I would have ordered for a wedding. The bride was stunning as well as her attendants who were all so beautifully dressed in yellow!! This is a couple who met in college and have dated for twenty years. That would explain the fact that eighty coworkers drove three hours to witness the occasion. It was delightful visiting with retired people as well as some who had moved on to different jobs. And then there were another 150 relatives, etc.My ride was with a close friend and we have been k
nown to get lost on more than one occasion. A friend gave her a GPS already programmed to the hotel, to the church, and to the reception. Great idea!! Neither one of us had ever used a GPS, and I will merely say that 'Sally' [was the voice] and she got quite a workout 'recalculating' many times. We got laughing and kind of created our own Saturday Night Live skit using conversation and words that we knew Sally would have really wanted to say to us!!!

ter. The motor now hums a bit louder and when I took it to Staples for an estimate, they said it would be $138 for the part, $50 to install it, tax, etc. The computer is three years old and the warranty has run out. They did not even offer me the option of renewing it for a year probably because they lost money on me. It makes more sense to buy a new one. For me, that's a hassle getting a computer set up and going with my personal history of 'computer phobia'. I have made huge progress, but ...what to do?

Any advice as I recalculate what I am doing?

Oh dear... I hope you've backed everything up onto an external hard drive or something.
I love happy weddings. :-)

I tend to replace computers rather than fix them. Thank goodness my hubby is an expert at setting up new computers, or I would be absolutely lost. Good luck.

good luck, sounds as if you'll be getting a new computer sooner rather than later.
I love weddings!

so glad you enjoyed the wedding. And, that you finally found your way there; despite anything "Sally" said.
If your buying a new computer make sure everything from your old one gets transferred to your new one.
So good to see you today!

I also hope you backed everything up. I do love my Mac because I kept have to have my old computer fixed. In the long run, it has been cheaper.
Maybe a friend can help with all the transfer stuff. I'd be lost if my husband didn't do it all for me.

Buy a MAC. They'll switch everything over for you (or I will for you) and you'll actually USE and LOVE your computer. It's 100000% worth the change. You'll do EVERYTHING more effectively, efficiently, enjoyably, and I think THAT might mean....

Listen to your son.
Good to hear you had a good time at wedding, ours was = as nice. Good to see family and welcome new members to the fold. Bride was stunning and groom couldn't get over how much hair she had. Men I guess don't know about extentions.
