Last night was the season finale of Survivor, and Flo came close to winning the pool. She had Susie who came up one vote short of Bob, the 58 year old physics teacher from Maine. There will be no tears shed, however, because Flo
did win The Amazing Race last Sunday when the brother-sister team came in first beating out the couple who came in second. And who had the 2nd place team when Flo had first?? The winner of Survivor last night when Flo came in second. Kinda funny for a totally random draw for how you get your team. And Flo won last year's American Idol, too! She did not pass along the pool-winning gen

e to me though. I run these pools, and I have
never won!! Oh well, American Idol begins again in January, and when it's over
...I could be the winner, and also the spring flowers will be pushing up through the newly thawed earth. If I don't get both of those, I am guaranteed at least
one of the two. And Springtime ain't too shabby!!

think spring-it's snowing today in our desert...a shock and may keep storming for several days-but puts you in the mood for christmas.

I love to watch American Idol, too. Haven't watched Survivor though. Good luck on your next pool.

Just a little interesting tidbit here: Bob, the Survivor winner, was one of my teaching colleagues for about 20 years, until I retired. I was so happy to see him win. He's truly a survivor. He has a summer camp on a private island in Casco Bay, built from scraps of this and that and full of all kinds of ingenious contrivances.

I don't watch either of those, but I do love Bravo's Top Chef...
